How often do you conduct Jewish worship?
We have services every Friday Night Shabbat and Saturday Morning Torah Study. We also observe all the major (and many minor) Jewish holidays along with Yizkor Services.
How many Rabbis does Temple Emanuel have?
We have one Rabbi. Rabbi Linda Bertenthal will serve as our Interim Rabbi for Temple Emanuel for this coming year.
What do I get for my membership commitment?
Lots and lots. On top of the regular benefits of membership like High Holy Day tickets, access to summer camps, retreats, Religious and Hebrew School, congregational dinners and more, our Rabbi, staff, and Temple members will be there to support you through life’s challenges and joys. You will also be supporting our synagogue, Reform Judaism in the Quad Cities and the great programs we offer.
How do I join Temple Emanuel?
Click on the Membership Application button and fill out the form. It’s easy and will only take a few minutes. Your membership application will be reviewed and someone will contact you shortly. If you still have questions, please contact the Temple Office (563.326.4419) and we will guide you through the process.
What if I can’t afford my annual membership commitment?
We never deny anyone membership at Temple Emanuel for financial reasons. Please contact one of our Membership Vice Presidents or the Treasurer for a confidential conversation and they will assist you during the year you may not be able to meet your annual commitment. No one will be turned away due to their inability to pay.
