Yahrzeit

A yahrzeit is the anniversary of the death of a parent or other close relative and is observed by lighting a memorial candle for 24 hours and reciting the Kaddish.  Temple Emanuel members are invited and encouraged to let us know the name and yahrzeit of beloved ones who have departed from us. You are welcome to observe either the Hebrew or English date of their death.  We honor their memory by announcing their name at our synagogue during the Friday evening Shabbat Services during the anniversary week of their passing.

May you be comforted among all the mourners of Israel.
